IPAF accredited courses
A successfully trained IPAF candidate will receive The PAL Card The Ultimate Proof: A Powered Access Licence Card issued by us carries all of the key facts people need to know. It states who the person is and what equipment they are trained to operate.
As a user of Powered Access you will no doubt be aware of the Legislation (LOLER, PUWER, HASWA and WAHR) For companies using any type of powered access equipment, it is essential that all operators are fully trained in all aspects of safety.
We offer a range of training courses all accredited courses. Instructors are all experienced and also approved by the manufacturers and IPAF.

IPAF Operator
This course will cover all aspects of your IPAF powered access training, choosing any combination of 3A (mobile vertical), 3B (mobile boom) or 1B (static boom), the course will instruct a candidate to safely operate MEWPS.
IPAF Demonstrator
This course trains a demonstrator to familiarise operators with their responsibilities and to demonstrate pre-operational and safe operating procedures, and the limitations of MEWPs.
IPAF Pal+ 1b, 3a, 3b
PAL+ is an optional, additional one day of category-specific training aimed at operators working in higher risk or challenging environments.
IPAF Mewps for Managers
MEWPs for Managers is aimed at those who plan, supervise or manage work at height with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). Can be completed via eLearning or at an IPAF-approved training centre (one day course).
IPAF Harness
IPAF offers three harness courses to meet the needs of different candidates: Harness Awareness Course (HA), Harness User Course (HU), Harness Inspector Course (HI).

You will need to bring your PPE, boots, hard hat, hi viz and if doing a boom category, a full body harness and short adjustable lanyard. All available to purchase on the day.

IPAF training is required for anyone who operates a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP). The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) provides training courses that cover the safe use of MEWPs. The training courses are designed to help operators understand the risks associated with operating MEWPs and how to minimize them. The courses also cover the legal requirements for operating MEWPs and the different types of MEWPs available.

The majority of IPAF MEWP courses, if passed, will qualify you for a Powered Access Licence (PAL Card), which is globally recognised and proof that you have been trained to the highest standard. Your PAL Card lasts for five years. All PAL Cards are issued digitally and accessed via ePAL, IPAF’s free mobile phone app. (Printed PAL Cards are available if required.)

Anyone who requires a licence to operate a MEWP. If you are 16 years old or older and physically fit and able to get into a MEWP, you can sit the course. If you have any special requirements, please call and we will be happy to help.
