IPAF Pal+ 1b, 3a, 3b
PAL+ is an optional, additional one day of category-specific training aimed at operators working in higher risk or challenging environments.
Duration: 1 Day
Theory:
- Accident analysis
- Human behavior, permit to use & worker involvement
- MEWP categories and selection
- Operator daily inspection
- Pre-use checks and defects
- MEWP personal fall protection
- Safe operating methods
Practical (includes but not limited to):
- Practical training on scissor lifts with minimum 10m working height
- Practical training on boom lifts with minimum 15m working height
- work in confined overhead spaces
- driving on challenging terrain
Certification: 3A+ 3B+ PAL card (5 year validity)

The course focuses on practical training using large machines, such as scissor lifts with a minimum of 10m working height and a boom with a minimum of 15m working height.
Candidates have to complete a theory test, practical test and an individual interview.

Related Courses
IPAF Operator
This course will cover all aspects of your IPAF powered access training, choosing any combination of 3A (mobile vertical), 3B (mobile boom) or 1B (static boom), the course will instruct a candidate to safely operate MEWPS.
