FAQs

  • You will need to bring your PPE, boots, hard hat, hi viz and if doing a boom category, a full body harness and short adjustable lanyard. All available to purchase on the day.

  • IPAF training is required for anyone who operates a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP). The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) provides training courses that cover the safe use of MEWPs. The training courses are designed to help operators understand the risks associated with operating MEWPs and how to minimize them. The courses also cover the legal requirements for operating MEWPs and the different types of MEWPs available.

  • The majority of IPAF MEWP courses, if passed, will qualify you for a Powered Access Licence (PAL Card), which is globally recognised and proof that you have been trained to the highest standard. Your PAL Card lasts for five years. All PAL Cards are issued digitally and accessed via ePAL, IPAF’s free mobile phone app. (Printed PAL Cards are available if required.)

  • Anyone who requires a licence to operate a MEWP. If you are 16 years old or older and physically fit and able to get into a MEWP, you can sit the course. If you have any special requirements, please call and we will be happy to help.
